FireBan Glass
Insulating glass unit with standard and high performance glazing for sun control, UV control and thermal insulation.
FIREBAN products offer an ideal combination to ensure practical and personal fire safety for periods right up to 120 minutes.
These products are based on tempered safety glass with enhanced mechanical strength, classified as impact safety glass both to the new European Standard EN 12150 and to other relevant national standards, or as laminated safety glass for use where changes in temperature level are involved. Thus FIREBAN E/EW/EI are ideal to install where there is high pedestrian traffic.
FIREBAN quality meets efficiency
Wherever in the world you install glass, your work needs to confirm to Standards. e.g. EN, BS, ASTM, NFPA. Whether in doors, in partitions or in façade glazing, it’s good to know that it has the pedigree to meet these various requirements.
• Top-rate light transmission
• Best possible size/weight ratio
• Excellent sound attenuation
• Class EW radiation control down to no more than 10 kW/m2 even after 120 minutes
• Extended fire resistance times
• Pane size approval up to 5m2
FIREBAN External Quality Control/CE Marketing
FIREBAN products are ‘supervised building components’ in that they are manufactured to a strict regime of quality, both internally and also by independent international Test Authorities. This means that every single pane bears a permanent stamp, indicating manufacturer, product name, pane thickness and fire classification.
FIREBAN also conforms to the requirements for CE-Marking under System 3/EN 12150-2.
FIREBAN PRODUCT RANGE
FIREBAN E/EW
Depending on the building application, we offer under this heading both Class E and Class EW products for up to 60 minutes of fire protection, classified under EN 13501-2.
BENEFITS
• Reduced investments in air conditioning and heating
• Substantial savings in recurring cost of energy consumption
• Better uniform comfort levels due to reduction of disagreeable drafts near glazed areas.
• Scope for incorporating larger glazed areas without increasing room temperature or electric consumption.
• Superior sound attenuation.
For those who require longer fire resistance periods of up to 120 minutes, FIREBAN EW feature a patented 3mm thick interlayer based on nanotechnology offering top rate protection against dangerous levels of radiated heat as the ideal solution.
FIREBAN EI
Here you can have clear fire protection with full thermal shielding. Tested internationally and fully certified to EN 13501-2, FIREBAN EI sets new quality standards in terms of interlayer technology, impact safety, sound attenuation, optical clarity and excellent light transmission where a Class EI product must be specified.
